Only if you want to. While a case could be made to replace everything it would not come easy. Insurance companies have no issue with replacing all flooring that is contiguous. As for the dye-lot question, no. The difference would not be noticeable. Dye-lots only matter when joining pieces side by side. Any type of space, gap, bridge and/or change in elevation eliminates the worry of noticeable dye-lot differentiation. Hope this helps. Just want to confirm the above answer to your question. Dye lots or run numbers only matter when they are matched up directly side by side. If the patch does not connect with any of the same material you will not see the contrast.

The real concern is.......will the new carpet look visually different due to usage, crushing, soiling, etc? Some folks would be concerned about that even if it was 3 to 6 feet away. That is a discussion you will need to have with your insurance adjuster.
